Ty Braswell, Director of Tennis
Ty Braswell has been our Director of Tennis since June of 2005. Ty attended Florida State University on a full tennis scholarship and while attending he placed first in singles and doubles consistently from 1997 to 1999. He was also team captain for three years and named Champion in the Atlantic Coast Conference in 1997. Ty then returned to FSU in 2000 until March of 2004 as the Assistant Coach for their Men’s team and had the privilege of coaching three-time ACC Player of the year, Mat Cloer. During his career he has also ranked #5 in the country in USTA 18 and under division, won two gold medals and one silver in the 1995 Junior Olympic Festival, been named Regional ITA Assistant Coach of the year in 2003. He returned to Laurel Oak in March of 2004 as our Head Professional and was promoted in June of 2005. Ty is USPTA Certified.

Tony Acosta, Head Tennis Professional
Tony Acosta joined Laurel Oak family as the Head Tennis Pro September of 2007. Going on 15 years of teaching experience, he is know as a junior development specialist. Originally he went to college to play baseball, Tony has been a four-time Nationally ranked player, ranked #1 in doubles in the Men's 35 Division, USPTA Grand Prix Circuit. Tony is also U.S. Navy and Gulf War veteran. During his 15 years of teaching, Tony has been involved in many different avenues of the tennis business., from country club, resorts, to city and county run facilities and has taken part in growing the game everywhere he has been. Tony is USPTA Certified.
